Working from our Capital Campus Family Service Center, Harrisburg, the Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting payroll for school staff. The Payroll Coordinator will also respond to payroll questions and provide support to internal staff throughout the organization.
- Assist with the payroll process for all employees on a semi-monthly basis
- Processes payroll requests; direct deposit, address, location and W-4 changes
- Reviews hourly timesheets and enters into payroll system
- Process all quarterly, year-end & fiscal year-end reports as required by law
- Process W-2 statements as required by law
- Submit all required State and Local reports
- Resolve employee concerns regarding payroll questions and issues
- Assist with submission of payments to various payroll vendors on a per pay, monthly or quarterly basis
- Prepare annual compensations and salary statements
- Provide new hire financial payroll information
- Enter new hire financial payroll information into the payroll system
- Produce payroll reports as needed
- Calculate and track tuition reimbursements
- Gather and process documentation for cell phone stipend reimbursements
- Work closely with the Human Resources Department
- Assist with other areas of the Business Office as needed
- Assist with various research projects and/or special projects
Competencies
- Previous Pennsylvania public school payroll experience preferred, other payroll experience considered
- Two or more years of payroll experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other technology.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role. Requires the ability to lift, squat, sit, bend or stand as necessary. Ability to travel to other sites/locations as needed.
