We are looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to manage the design, development, and commissioning of electrical systems. You will oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical expertise. The role involves creating and reviewing designs, leading installations, and collaborating with teams to troubleshoot and optimize systems. Strong project management and technical skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Design and evaluate electrical systems, including preparation, review, and validation of deliverables.
- Lead conceptual studies, scope development, and detailed electrical design for projects.
- Manage electrical and instrumentation projects from design through commissioning (projects range from $1M–$10M).
- Track project costs, forecast budgets, and manage resources for earned value calculations.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Oversee contract electrical designers and third-party engineering services.
- Manage electrical changes and develop Construction Work Packages (CWPs).
- Provide technical guidance on external designs, studies, and commissioning procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance and other teams on troubleshooting and engineering solutions.
- Develop and update test procedures, technical specifications, and site-specific standards.
- Lead electrical initiatives in line with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to relocate to Kennewick, WA.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Codes, building codes, and industry standards (RAGAGEPs).
- Proficient in electrical design, equipment sizing, and engineering calculations.
- Experience with systems 15KV and below, including switchgears, fault protection, grounding, arc flash, UPS systems, and VFDs.
- Competency in power quality, fiber optics, control logic, and electrical buildings.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and provide high-quality technical support.
