My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to join their team in Palm Beach, Florida. As a leader in the construction of large-scale multi-family residential projects, the company is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of successfully overseeing multi-family construction projects, along with a strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for multi-family residential projects.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Read and interpret construction documents and blueprints to direct project activities.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Maintain accurate project documentation using construction management software such as Procore.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plan and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize disruptions and delays.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent, specifically in multi-family residential construction.
Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents and blueprints.
- Knowledgeable in building codes, safety regulations, and permit requirements.
- Expertise in all phases of wood framing and construction techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing large teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and handle stress effectively.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety on-site.
- Physically capable of navigating construction sites and working in various weather conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, costs, and scheduling.
- Proficiency with construction management software, such as Procore.
Licenses and Certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour certification (or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
