Position Overview:
This role is responsible for managing energy efficiency projects and programs for key accounts and handling the most complex initiatives. The Senior Energy Efficiency Project/Program Manager provides services directly and through coordination with internal and external subject matter experts. Regular interaction with regulators and other non-utility energy efficiency stakeholders is a key component of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage energy efficiency projects, including customer interactions, contractor coordination, and internal engineering communications.
- Oversee project documentation and ensure successful implementation.
- Assist on projects initially, gradually taking on more responsibility until independently managing key projects.
- Collaborate with regulators and non-utility stakeholders on energy efficiency initiatives.
Typical Tasks Breakdown:
- Project management: managing conversations with customers, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
- Maintain and manage project documentation.
- Assist team members on projects, with the goal of progressing to independent project management.
Interaction with Team:
Team interaction primarily via MS Teams, email, and onsite meetings.
Work Environment:
Basic office setting with optional travel for field visits to customer sites.
Travel Requirements:
Optional travel for customer site visits, with regular commuting to the local office.
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- 8 years of related experience required.
Technical Skills (Required):
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong customer focus.
- Comfort working in industrial spaces, as customers will primarily be in factory settings.
Technical Skills (Desired):
- Knowledge of compressed air systems.
Soft Skills (Required):
- Time management.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with coworkers.
