Job Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to assist our attorneys in managing personal injury cases from inception through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case management, including drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel regarding case status and necessary documentation.
- Collect, review, and organize medical records, bills, and other evidence relevant to cases.
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness lists for litigation.
- Conduct legal research to support attorneys with case strategy and development.
- Manage deadlines and maintain an organized electronic and physical case file system.
- Assist with client intake and initial case evaluations.
- Prepare settlement demand packages and coordinate settlement negotiations.
- Handle administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence and managing case calendars.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in personal injury law.
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of personal injury law and litigation processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
