Musick Peeler is seeking an experienced insurance coverage attorney to join the firm's busy Insurance Coverage Practice Group. This position is for the Los Angeles, Orange County, Westlake Village or San Diego office. The work includes writing coverage opinions and litigating insurance coverage disputes in diverse types of coverage cases, including CGL, advertising injury, D&O, professional liability, workers’ compensation, and first party property cases. Candidate must have a minimum of three years of coverage experience and an active California Bar license. There is flexibility regarding a hybrid schedule.
The candidate should be a driven team player with excellent analytical abilities, persuasive research, writing and speaking skills, and possess a strong academic background. The candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized and work well with others.
The position affords an opportunity to work with the firm’s talented Insurance Practice Group in a collegial working environment. For the right person, the position offers a significant amount of responsibility and opportunities to engage directly with clients, argue motions, conduct depositions, participate in trials, and other important tasks.
The firm offers competitive compensation and a full benefits package including eligibility for a year-end discretionary bonus. The yearly salary range is between $165,000 - $210,000 depending on experience. The firm expects associates to bill 1900 billable hours annually.
