We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer in TX! This could be junior or senior level role. A relocation bonus to TX is availble.
In this role you will maintain the quality of castings & forgings by managing and developing suppliers. You will collaborate with teams to assess supplier capabilities and implement quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
1. Qualify new suppliers, conduct supplier audits, and collaborate with vendors to enhance their quality management systems.
2. Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for incoming materials
3. Investigate and address supplier-related quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations. Implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure long-term quality improvement.
4. Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement best practices, and optimize processes to enhance overall product quality and reliability.
5. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality, providing regular reports to management and taking proactive measures to address any deviations.
6. Analyze data in Excel
Requirements
- Bachelor's or associates degree required
- Experience in supplier quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
- Ability to travel to Mexico and China to conduct supplier audits up to 50%
- Castings, forgings, or fabrication experience
