Are you passionate about designing and optimizing storage solutions in a dynamic global environment? Join our innovative financial services firm as a Storage Solutions Engineer and play a pivotal role in enhancing our infrastructure across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Development: Contribute to the installation, design, standardization, and evaluation of our global storage systems.
- Project Assessment: Evaluate technical project scopes and IT service delivery risks, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Optimization & Troubleshooting: Identify opportunities for storage optimization and resolve common issues proactively.
- Innovation: Seek continuous improvement and innovative practices within our storage service delivery model.
- Secure Design: Design and develop secure compute and storage practices tailored to meet internal customer needs.
Tech Stack:
- Core Technologies: Experience with NetApp FAS, AFF, and ASA in a production environment.
- Nice-to-Haves: Familiarity with Hitachi, HPE, EMC, PURE, ExaGRID.
- Skills in Navigation: Proficient in navigating cDOT with Systems Manager, AIQUM, and ONTAP CLI.
- Advanced Networking: Knowledge of advanced NetApp networking configurations and storage protocols (NFS, SMB, FC, FCoE, S3, iSCSI).
- Upgrade Experience: Competence in executing disruptive and non-disruptive upgrades for controller and disk subsystems.
- Fabric Design: Experience with Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN fabric design and administration.
- Disaster Recovery: Skills in data replication, backups, and service migration/consolidation.
- Operating Systems: Advanced knowledge of Linux, Windows, VMware, and ProxMox regarding interoperability with various datasets.
- Scripting Skills: Ability to programmatically interact with REST APIs using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
