Description:
- Design wire harness components and package wire harnesses design and application of electrical components across multiple vehicle and mobility platforms.
- Manage and lead part development to meet targets for cost, mass, performance and schedule with high quality, efficiency, and optimization
- Develop design data in 3D using CATIA v5 and create 2D drawings using Zuken E3 (CR5000) CAD software.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering discipline, Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
- Understanding of vehicle development and wire harness manufacturing processes and design related challenges.
- 5 or more demonstrated years of experience collaborating with suppliers.
- Proficient in CATIA v5 for 3D data and drawing preparation.
- 5 or more years of vehicle development experience.
- Experience supporting a production vehicle trial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Documented problem-solving experience [solve problems and communicate].
Good to Have Skills
Experience with all stages of Vehicle development (Full Model change or Major-Minor model change).
Deep understanding of wire harness development and/or manufacturing process.
Experience negotiating with cross-functional departments.
Experience in design of electrical systems/parts, including wire harness routing, wire specification issuance or vehicle electric architecture.
Japanese language capability.
