The Sales Assistant will assist the Sales team by supporting certain aspects of the Sales process, requiring customer communication and follow-up, maintaining and tracking orders, etc. They should have strong communication skills, the ability to follow along in cross-functional and account meetings then clarify takeaways, identify issues and come up with suggestions of effective solutions. The Sales Assistant should be comfortable working in PowerPoint and Excel. They should also have strong analytical skills to help monitor and recap brand performance. The Sales Assistant role has the future potential to grow into owning account responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Support Account Executive/Director of Sales with everyday account responsibilities
- Assistance in seasonal market preparation (sales decks, showroom setup, line sheets uploads) and meetings with retailers
- Assist in booking market orders and ensure proper flow of information is reflected including delivery dates, style information, and order styles adjustments
- Manage mainline brands ecommerce PDP content for both seasonal newness and existing styles (digital shot list, routine site audits, copy and image uploads)
- Maintain and run weekly selling reports to analyze and recap business and inform management
- Work with merchandising and marketing on samples and distribute to accounts for advertising needs and internally for ecommerce and guideline preparation
- Assist in receiving timely confirmation of orders and track monthly shipments
- Present best and worst sellers at seasonal hindsight business meetings
- Coordinate needs for off-site meetings (samples, selling reports, product catalogs)
- Work closely with entire brands cross-functional teams
- Additional assistant tasks: calendar management, meeting recaps, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1+ years of related experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (ability to build pivot tables, VLOOKUP's & sumifs), PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams
- SAP & NuOrder experience is a plus
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and communication skills
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong follow through
- Retail math aptitude
- Ability to multi-task, deal effectively with internal/external partners, and adapt to changing priorities, problem solver
- Ambitious and enthusiastic to learn the business; positive attitude
Annual salary range: $50,000 - $55,000
