Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr. Data Engineer:
- Develop, maintain, and support data pipelines to move data from enterprise applications to our client's data lake/warehouse analytical stores
- Collect and monitor metrics necessary to quantify system performance and forecast future capacity needs
- Collaborate closely with the Data Warehouse team and other Engineering teams to ideate and build solutions
Required Skills for Sr. Data Engineer:
- 8+ years of experience in BI Engineering and Data Engineering
- Experience in schema design for decision support, particularly dimensional data modeling, building data marts, data lakes, etc.
- Strong skills in SQL (query plan optimization, windowing functions, aggregate design for example)
- Experience with Data Modeling in Power Bi or Tableau
- Expertise in Snowflake, Postgres DB, Redshift, or Data Bricks
- Experience with PySpark (Python API for Apache Spark)
