Job Description
The Project Developer (Renewable Energy) will be responsible for:
- Collaborating effectively with the current Development team on utility-scale projects.
- Securing real estate rights for development opportunities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with landowners and other local stakeholders.
- Overseeing resource management processes and estimating outputs.
- Managing external partners involved in environmental assessment campaigns.
- Coordinating with external stakeholders to support property and sales tax abatement efforts.
- Occasionally handling permitting activities with the support of other team members.
- Preparing project budgets, schedules, and responses to RFPs.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate for the Project Developer (Renewable Energy) role will have:
- At least 3 years of experience in the renewable energy industry with full life-cycle development.
- Direct experience with utility-scale solar, storage, or wind projects.
- Experience in land development, including landowner engagement, negotiation/contracting, title resolution, and agricultural land use/water restrictions.
- Knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations, or market signals that affect the development of renewable projects.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Candidates with experience in smaller-scale projects who believe they can contribute are also encouraged to apply.
