TRS Staffing is currently seeking experienced mid-level (5-15 years of experience) Process Engineers for a major EPC Partner in the Houston area for long-term full-time contract opportunities to support for various upcoming projects.
The primary function of this role is to provide technical knowledge on projects and perform Process Technology assignments of intermediate to moderate complexity.
Must be authorized to work in the US with no sponsorship needed.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform broad range of process engineering assignments with respect to various and differing industries and systems
- Plan and conduct work in evaluation, selection and application of standard process engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
- Review and check work of others to assure overall quality of process designs
- Contact and consult with other engineering disciplines within the Company in addition to process engineers and supervisors
- Understand and follow the effort-hours budget and process schedule
- Support execution of the Quality Plan to ensure that work product meets defined requirement and standards, as needed
- Prepare process design specifications containing all components necessary to satisfy contract requirements: process description, process design basis, configuration and other studies, Heat and Material Balance (H&MB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Material Selection Diagrams (MSD), process equipment specifications, process equipment lists, instrument data, relief valve data, contingency analysis, relief loads, catalyst chemical summaries, emission summaries, safeguarding memorandum
Requirements
- 4 year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study, preferably Chemical Engineering
- 5 years minimum of work-related experience as a Process Engineer
