LHH is partnering with a long-time client to find an experienced Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles, CA!
Responsibilities:
- Manage global user support for moves, changes, deletions, and repairs.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, maintenance, capacity planning, and upgrades of telecommunication and Cisco VoIP/Webex systems.
- Provide project and technical support, and escalate issues to vendors as needed.
- Configure and troubleshoot VoIP routers and UC servers.
- Create and distribute technical documentation using Atlassian Confluence, MS Visio, Word, and Excel.
- Work overtime as required, including weekends and month/year-end support.
- Handle additional related projects as assigned.
- Participate in on call rotation (1 weekend per month)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in telecommunications and Cisco VoIP/Webex cloud calling in a global environment.
- Preferred: Cisco voice network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, CCIE).
- Microsoft system certifications (MCP, MCSE) are a plus.
- Preferred: Experience migrating Cisco UCM to Webex Cloud Calling Dedicated Instance.
- Expert in Cisco unified communication platforms and VoIP applications.
- Skilled in installing and maintaining ATT IPLEX/BVoIP SIP Trunks.
- Proficient in configuring and maintaining Cisco voice gateways, CUBE, and SBC routers (44xx and 83xx Series ISR).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fax server software (OpenText/Rightfax).
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN network design and management (LAN/WAN, MPLS, VPN, VLAN, SDWAN).
