A community-based social welfare organization in New York is currently seeking an experienced project management leader to join their team as their new AVP for the project management office. In this role, the AVP will be responsible for driving operational efficiency efforts.
Responsibilities:
The AVP, PMO will:
- Oversee business transformation and have experience in system redesign and implementation.
- Oversee planning, implementation, and tracking of complex short-term and long-term projects within the organization.
- Work closely with various stakeholders to achieve the organization's mission and goals
- Manage day to day operations of the department
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, Non-profit management, Project Management or related field. Masters preferred.
- Project management certificate (PMP) a plus
- 5 years of project management experience
- Progressive leadership experience or strong leadership ability
- Experience with PM software - MS Project, Wrike, Asana, Trello
- Social services, non-profit or healthcare experience
