GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Security Architect for a Direct-Hire opportunity in Irving, TX. This role will be on-site at our client's offices.
As a pivotal member of our security framework, the Security Architect will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and overseeing scalable enterprise-wide security solutions, driving the execution of our Information Security and Compliance roadmap. The Security Architect will serve as a technical authority, providing architectural direction across diverse technology initiatives. Effective collaboration with technology partners is essential for the selection, deployment, and seamless integration of advanced security solutions.
This position demands a deep technical acumen, a comprehensive understanding of enterprise security needs, and exceptional change management capabilities.
The Security Architect will design and implement comprehensive security frameworks for multi-cloud and hybrid data centers while managing advanced information security technologies. Responsibilities include developing tactical roadmaps, identifying and mitigating security risks, and overseeing tools for network security, identity management, and continuous monitoring. This role champions automation for enhanced security efficiency and collaborates with development teams to integrate security into DevSecOps practices. Additionally, the architect will configure security infrastructure, lead the Architecture Review Board, advise technology teams on security integration, and conduct research on emerging technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in Infrastructure or Security Architecture/Engineering roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in software and security architectures within multi-cloud and data center environments.
- Proven ability to cultivate an automation-first culture, driving transformation towards DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Extensive experience in designing and securing Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency in automation technologies such as Terraform and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
- Strong networking skills, with a focus on leading network segmentation, secure remote access solutions, and IDS/IPS configuration and tuning.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 (E5), Azure, and AWS, especially in architecting security across multi-tenant and multi-cloud platforms.
- Expertise in cloud security practices, including secret management and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Experience in implementing enterprise-wide vulnerability management strategies, including container security frameworks.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, relevant professional certifications in information security or risk management (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Microsoft/Azure Security Certifications).
- Comprehensive understanding of security, regulatory, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, and CIS.
