We are looking for a Senior Manager - Reliability to join our Team in Spokane, WA and support all of the Kaiser Aluminum plants in North America!
The Senior Manager – Reliability is responsible for developing and executing Best in Class reliability programs and processes across the company’s facilities in support of an ISO 55000 compliant Asset Management strategy.

What you will work on:
- Drive a culture of reliability through the establishment of standardize processes and methodologies for evaluating and improving asset health.
- Develop and deploy programs for acquiring and developing internal reliability knowledge and expertise.
- Develop and provide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for facility support in critical areas.
- Develop and provide “Special Services” support for critical reliability and safety processes (alignment, vibration, combustion, etc.)
- Measure/monitor reliability related asset risk across the company’s platforms and coordinate mitigation activities risk with plant and corporate stake holders.
- Generate data and perform life cycle data analysis of the company’s critical assets.
- Lead the development and execution of the strategy to integrate DFR (design for reliability) throughout the equipment development cycle, from initial concept through asset commissioning.
- Support the development of engineering and reliability standards.
- Lead the development and refinement of Asset Management Plans (AMPs) for critical asset classes at company facilities.
- Lead targeted reliability improvement efforts to improve performance of critical asset classes.
- Approximately 70% of the job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. 30% of the job function is required in an industrial plant environment where there is exposure to operating machinery and a manufacturing environment.
- Approximately 20 -30% of the job will be performed at other plant locations.
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical field.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in reliability engineering and related processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading reliability programs across multiple organizations.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams consisting of customers, vendors, and technical architects and engineers.
- Experience in a heavy industrial or process environment preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within an organization.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Experience leading and developing top performing teams.
