Job Description:
This role requires a strong technical background in PeopleSoft HCM with a specific focus on payroll processes, and the ability to work closely with both functional and technical teams in a full-time onsite capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise in PeopleSoft HCM, particularly in North American Payroll (NA Payroll) modules.
- Develop, customize, and maintain PeopleSoft Payroll solutions to support business needs.
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements, design, and implement solutions for payroll processing, reporting, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payroll processes, data integrations, and configurations.
- Perform technical system analysis, design, development, and unit testing of PeopleSoft applications.
- Optimize payroll processes and system performance to ensure accurate and timely payroll runs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations through system configurations and updates.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, and production support for payroll-related functionality.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless integration between PeopleSoft and other systems.
- Provide technical support for payroll-related audits and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM with strong expertise in North American Payroll.
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Payroll modules, including payroll processing, tax updates, retro pay, year-end activities, and payroll reporting.
- Strong technical skills in PeopleSoft Development Tools (PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker).
- Proven experience in customizations, troubleshooting, and enhancements in PeopleSoft NA Payroll.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll compliance requirements.
- Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a retail or grocery industry.
- Knowledge of Time and Labor and Absence Management modules.
- Familiarity with third-party integrations (ADP, Kronos, etc.).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Work Environment:
- This role is 100% onsite at our Phoenix, AZ office (5 days a week).
