OVERVIEW
Vaco Dallas is seeking a motivated IT Procurement Analyst for a direct hire opportunity. The IT Procurement Analyst will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost-effective purchasing strategies across the organization. This hands-on role involves overseeing purchase orders, tracking inventory, and collaborating closely with IT management to ensure procurement processes align with global standards. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to optimizing procurement practices, negotiating contracts, and contributing to overall cost savings and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft Licensing, vendor management, and purchasing agreements for both hardware and software. Additionally, candidates with an administrative background, particularly assisting executives, will be strongly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vendor Sourcing & Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with IT hardware and software vendors. Negotiate pricing and contracts to secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Purchase Order Management: Review purchase requisitions, compare vendor quotes, negotiate purchase orders, and ensure timely ordering and delivery of goods.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Assist in tracking contracts across the contractual lifecycle, including negotiation, management, and renewals, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- IT Asset Management: Work with IT management to define and maintain asset standards, administrative best practices, and procurement tools.
- Cost Reduction & Process Improvement: Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive cost savings and process efficiency. Suggest process improvements and vendor management optimizations.
- Budget & Reporting: Monitor and track IT procurement budgets, generate relevant budgetary reports, and ensure accurate tracking of IT expenditures.
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements related to IT procurement.
- ERP & Procurement Tools: Manage the procurement process utilizing ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, ServiceNow) to streamline purchasing activities and ensure efficient invoice processing.
- Microsoft Licensing Management: Oversee and manage Microsoft Licensing and related software/hardware purchasing agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance, particularly in supporting executives, including coordinating procurement-related tasks, managing schedules, and handling communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in IT procurement, vendor management, and purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing or project-based environment.
- Experience with global hardware and software procurement and licensing (ServiceNow, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Microsoft Licensing Expertise: Must have strong experience managing Microsoft Licensing and other software/hardware purchasing agreements.
- Vendor Management: Extensive experience in vendor management, including negotiations and relationship-building.
- Administrative Support: Strong preference for candidates with an administrative background, particularly those experienced in assisting executives.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation, budget management, and cost center tracking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, data manipulation).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP Ariba, D365) and reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with experience in building and maintaining vendor relationships.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in procurement strategy development and process standardization across business units.
In our commitment to transparency throughout the hiring process, we provide a target annual base salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) experience, work location, and skills. Additionally, this position is eligible for comprehensive benefits provided by the hiring employer.
