Position Overview:
The National Account Manager will support the management and growth of key accounts, including Target and Costco. You will work closely with the VP of Sales to develop and execute strategic plans, build relationships with key customer contacts, and drives sales performance. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the beauty industry, a history in category, trade marketing, or account management, strong analytical skills, and a desire to develop a career in account management.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing relationships with national accounts.
- Serve as a liaison with named accounts and Sales Agency partners.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Optimize the resources provided by our sales agency partners.
- Support the completion and execution on key organizational activities, e.g., program analysis and recommendations, promotion analysis and recommendations, presentation coordination, contract management, etc.
- Develop a deep understanding of our product portfolio and value propositions, as well as the competitive set in the marketplace.
- Facilitates the annual planning and execution of sales tactics to help deliver strategic business plans.
- Utilization of syndicated data to inform retail selling stories and make strategic recommendations for our retail partners.
- Collaborate with sales agency partners and BBI’s insights team to deliver actionable insights.
- Present and communicate your brands’ national marketing strategies, innovation, consumer insights to your accounts and Sales Agency Partners.
- Coordinate with Trade Managers, Sales Planners and Supply Operations on cross functional projects that can include Displays, prepacks, promotions, and incremental new items.
- Responsible for analyzing and assessing customer performance, internally and externally, to identify opportunities and risks.
- Participate in regular market walks to understand retail market execution, complete comp shops, observe retail merchandising, etc.
- Support customer line reviews and the internal meeting preparation needed working cross functionally with Customer Strategy, Insights, Marketing, Finance, Warehouse and Supply (e.g., planogram updates, promotional calendar, responsible for working with Sales Admin and Sales Agency Partners to complete all necessary paperwork needed - new items setup, add/deletes, displays, etc.)
- Support the management of Trade and Selling budget for select key accounts.
- Access and manage account specific websites to pull down relevant data, announcements, etc.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with mass or club retail
- Experience in account management, trade marketing, channel marketing or category management

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree, business, marketing or related field preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience
