Position: Senior Systems Administrator
Reporting To: Director of Network Services
Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Administrator at LT Apparel Group is a key member of the IT team, responsible for supporting and managing all aspects of the company’s network and systems infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the reliability and security of LTAG’s servers, desktops, laptops, telecommunications, and backup systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will provide expert troubleshooting, resolve technical issues, and deliver top-tier customer service to end-users. In addition, this role will contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support and Troubleshooting: Provide application and help-desk support for various software packages and business systems. Accurately log issues in the tracking system, coordinate problem resolution with other teams, and ensure effective communication and follow-up.
- End-User Training: Collaborate with the divisional business applications team to train end-users on new reports and dashboards in the data warehouse/analytics environment, including identifying and revising reporting requirements.
- Systems Administration: Administer and maintain servers, desktop computers, printers, switches, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches. Ensure all systems are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
- Surveillance Equipment: Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, ensuring the security and integrity of physical assets.
- System Monitoring: Perform daily monitoring of system health, including verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Review system and application logs and ensure the completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups.
- Technology Evaluation: Contribute to the research and evaluation of new technologies, processes, and infrastructure enhancements. Make recommendations for improvements that support LTAG’s growth and efficiency.
- Data Security: Monitor and evaluate data security across the network to minimize risks to corporate resources. Investigate and resolve security breaches promptly.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all computer and IT electronics, ensuring that assets are tracked and managed efficiently.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain, and coordinate a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, conducting periodic testing to ensure preparedness. Ensure that backup, recovery, and security procedures are established and executed as necessary.
- Cybersecurity: Play an active role in all aspects of security and cybersecurity within the company, implementing measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks and responsibilities as required by IT Administration to support the department’s overall objectives.
Education and Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in operating and managing Information Systems across various platforms.
- Ability to provide strategic recommendations and support across all levels of the organization.
- Expertise in monitoring and evaluating data security on networks to reduce risks and investigate breaches.
