POSITION OVERVIEW This position is the first level of supervision over hourly operations employees in the production facility. Supervise the processing through the Control Room at the facility to maximize production and minimize consumption.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · First level of supervision for facility operations hourly employees. · Supervise processing - including multiple stages of material transformation. · Communicate & coordinate closely with operators to achieve production goals. · Train, supervise, direct and support workforce in their activities to ensure production targets. · Communicate & coordinate closely with raw material supply operations for steady input deliveries. · Inspect the equipment to determine status for repair or preventative maintenance and initiate appropriate action. · Administer company Safety Program and ensure regulatory compliance. · Administer the labor contract and handle all employee issues, grievances, inquiries. · Provide timekeeping, scheduling, work-order maintenance and purchasing/warehouse input on work needed. · Conduct safety meetings with employees on topics relative to the operations. · Conduct area safety inspections and correct any problems identified. · Prepare paperwork for use in production reporting. · Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety Program as required by company policy, directives and principles. · Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES · Basic computer skills preferred. · Understanding and knowledge of production processes. · Excellent interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · High school graduate or GED required. · 5 years of experience in relevant production processes.
