Under the general direction of the Director of Imaging and within established departmental and hospital guidelines organizes and directs all daily activities of the Imaging Department taking into consideration the age, specific cultural needs and disability (if any) of the patients served. Assists in planning direction and coordination of the Imaging Departmental activities; working with the Lead Technologists, monitors image quality and scanning technique as well as maintenance of and adherence to equipment standards in Radiology, Vascular Lab, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, EKG, Mammography and EMG/EEG.
Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an Accredited Radiography Program; AS degree in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
License/Certification:
- Registered A.R.R.T.
- Massachusetts State in License Radiologic Technology
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Three to five years progressively responsible experience as a Radiologic Technologist functioning as supervisor or manager
- Demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills
- Outstanding ability to prioritize, manage workflow, and lead others in meeting patient diagnostic demand
- Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of medical personnel, outside vendors, administration and staff
- Ability to collect and analyze departmental data
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Experience in acute care hospital setting
- Synapse/PACS experience
- Previous experience with Cerner a plus
- Experience with Voice Recognition technology
