Position Summary:
The Visual Planning Manager is responsible for planning and implementing activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials, This includes ensuring availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, the maintenance of inventory at acceptable levels, and developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Spearhead the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of visual merchandising materials.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and material control systems to reduce costs and streamline procedures.
- Ensure the availability of visual merchandising materials in the supply chain and maintain inventory at acceptable levels.
- Maintain the visual merchandising calendar to facilitate smooth and efficient departmental operation.
- Establish timelines for key initiatives and allow for time spent carrying out ongoing operation.
- Create operating and project plans and coordinate tracking and trafficking of visual merchandising assets and deliverables.
- Optimize departmental utilization of NetSuite to enhance reporting and operational efficiency.
- Manage internal and external visual merchandising asset inventories, developing standards of use.
- Share in the development and maintenance of a Store Environment Database.
- Reconcile budget and purchase orders.
- Lead visual merchandising asset management strategies, carryout packing protocols and asset movement.
- Assist with the implementation of visual merchandising initiatives in stores as necessary.
- Participate in store visits as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in sourcing, buying, supply chain, logistics, project management, business administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience leading domestic and international sourcing, inventory control, logistics, and project management.
- Proficient in using visual merchandising asset tracking tools and software.
- Previous experience with NetSuite or a similar inventory management system preferred.
- Detail-oriented, analytical and process-driven.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a cross functional, highly collaborative work environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
