Physician Assistant - Medical Genetics
SequenceMD is hiring a full-time physician assistant for its Medical Genetics Clinic. This is a full-time position located in Denver (metro), Colorado.

Position Summary:
Join the SequenceMD team to provide a full spectrum of genetic clinical services to patients in the Rocky Mountain region including, but not limited to, general clinical genetic evaluation and diagnosis across oncology, metabolic disease, cardiovascular disease, neurologic disease, and many other specialties. In addition, SequenceMD provides clinical evaluation for patients from other hereditary disorders including but not limited to cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and musculoskeletal, and management consultation for patients with genetic syndromes.
Responsibilities:
· Primary responsibilities will include preparing, documenting, and developing plan of care for patients in coordination with clinical geneticists and counselors including complete medical history, physical examinations, patient and note preparation, diagnosis, and treatment.
· Conducts genetic evaluations and consultations for patients and the diagnosis and management of patients with inborn errors of metabolism in coordination with clinical geneticists.
· Collects, reviews, and prepares family/medical histories, medical records, test results, and other relevant/necessary information for, and in coordination with, clinical geneticists.
· Assists clinical geneticists with patient care coordination including testing, reviewing lab results, and patient communication.
· Provides care for patients throughout the lifespan.
· Researches, maintains, and applies knowledge of trends and developments in genetic disease research, testing, and treatment.
· Participates in ongoing or new activities supported by the clinic.
· Participates in specialty boards (tumor and others), awareness building, Grand Rounds, local continuing education opportunities, and other educational forums, when available.
· Develops new programs to help support patient populations in both the Denver metro and surrounding rural areas through the mountain region.
Qualifications:
· Certified Physician Assistant
· License or eligible for licensure in the State of Colorado
· Two or more years of professional clinical experience a plus
