The role…
The Automation Engineer improves various manufacturing processes and computer systems through designing, developing, and implementing automation. This position will focus on improvement of the facility’s safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, 14001, 18001, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Develop and implement automation systems to meet production challenges, ensuring reliability and safety.
- Identify and prioritize manufacturing process improvements, managing projects and monitoring progress.
- Create product justification documents using quality data, time studies, and ergonomic assessments.
- Foster cooperation within teams, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement cost reductions.
- Communicate and train employees on procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
What do you bring…
- Degree in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of manufacturing or automation experience, with a preference for robotics, AI, and machine learning.
- Experience in project management, CAD drafting (AutoCAD preferred), and using MS Project, SharePoint, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex tests.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma and other analytical tools.
- Creative, collaborative, and able to work effectively both independently and in a team.
