Maintenance Manager
The onsite Maintenance Manager coordinates, and directs the planning, maintenance, safety and alteration of equipment and machinery, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages, plans, budgets, and provides leadership/direction to Maintenance, Machine Shop, Set up, and the MRO Departments. Maintains department budgets with high degree of accuracy to attain profit plan.
- Works closely with Production and Finishing Managers to insure complete manufacturing support for maximum uptime, throughput, and profit.
- Participates in all current plant equipment and process improvement projects. Interfaces and works closely with Engineering for all new equipment/process implementation.
- Implements and maintains a structured Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program for each production process, facility systems and all manufacturing equipment.
- Responsible for Plant Safety; equipment and facilities compliance with TOSHA (Tennessee OSHA) regulations. Interfaces with HR Manager as lockout tag-out champion.
- Plans, budgets, and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
- Inspects construction and installation progress of capital equipment to ensure conformance to establish specifications.
- Oversees the coordination of building space allocations, layout, and communication services. Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers.
- Ensures effective security services are maintained.
Qualifications, Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor degree (BA) with 8 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisor/management position.
- This position requires the knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics (PLC), carpentry, welding, machining and fabricating. Certifications in these areas are a strong plus.
- The position also requires proficiency in trouble shooting the before listed categories. Stamping equipment maintenance experience preferred.
