Many of SJ Creations bath and beauty products can be found at our larger retailer locations, and now our natural organic skin care and body care products are available online. We work with wholesalers to create private label bath and body gift products. Our team is continually creating new organic and natural bath and body products and gift sets for both wholesale and retail product lines.
Position Overview
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for building meaningful relationships with existing and new customers to drive SJ revenue and margin. This role requires an understanding of product development and the beauty industry, with strong relationship skills and selling with insights capabilities. The Sales Account Manager works closely with cross-functional teams including product development, finance, and supply chain, to achieve sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Account Manager will report to the SJ Creations Director of Sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic relationships with key account stakeholders for existing and new business, including creating and executing Joint Business Plans as required.
- Responsible for day-to-day communications and selling with respective accounts, leveraging negotiation skills and selling with insights.
- Responsible for sales P&L through contribution margin to annual operating plans.
- Manges respective trade spend where applicable to generate best ROI.
- Responsible for executing forecasts in collaboration with the planning and buying teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development and the L&R Category Development team to maintain existing programs and create new products or programs based on customer request and market trends.
- Accountable for ensuring all customer POs received are accurate, coordinate with customer teams if required.
- Understand beauty industry and trends to stay competitive within the market and identify new SJ Creation opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement opportunities where identified
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; 3+ years of business experience in consumer product sales, preferably in the beauty industry.
- Understanding of consumer product development and contract manufacturer relationships.
- Experience in account management, P&L management, customer negotiations, trade spend etc.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events (estimated ~35% inclusive of traveling to the SJ office, trade shows, customer and L&R meetings)
- Passion for exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Comfort in managing multiple projects, working with various cross functional groups.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, proactive, can-do attitude.
- Curiosity and vigor to learn, grow and challenge the status quo.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills in particular with Excel and PowerPoint.
