Rust Engineer – Trading Startup
Location: NYC (In-office 3 days per week)
Salary: $200k Base + Uncapped semi-annual profit share bonuses (8-12 months on average)

Role Overview: As a Rust Engineer, you’ll join a highly talented team focused on building and optimizing the core trading infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing high-performance, reliable data collection pipelines using Rust, integrating with multiple crypto exchanges, and developing redundant systems to minimize data loss. This role is ideal for engineers who excel in algorithmic complexity and data structures, and who have experience with proven Alpha in production—creating real-world trading strategies that deliver profits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain highly performant and scalable data pipelines in Rust.
- Build integrations to support multiple exchanges across multiple classes.
- Design redundant data solutions to ensure reliability and minimize data loss.
- Work closely with the trading team to refine strategies and execution.
- Take ownership of key projects and even the opportunity to run your own trading desk.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong proficiency in Rust and experience with low-level systems programming.
- Expertise in algorithmic complexity and data structures.
- Experience in a finance, hedge fund, or trading environment.
- Proven track record of developing Alpha-generating trading strategies.
