Job Title: Practice Administrator
About Us: Ear, Nose & Throat Associates is a physician-owned, single-specialty private practice founded in 1972, and we are the sole provider of ENT services in Johnson City, Tennessee. Our thriving practice includes 5 physicians, 3 physician assistants, a robust allergy department, and an audiology department with 2 audiologists. Located in the scenic Appalachian Mountains, Johnson City offers abundant outdoor activities, a growing and dynamic community, a solid local economy, and a low cost of living, making it an ideal place to live and work.
Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading and directing all practice operations and related lines of business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overall Management:
- Develops a unified workplace culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and performance
- Oversees all systems of the office, including analysis, solutions definition, implementation, and ongoing evaluation.
- Manages, either directly or through department managers, all non-physician/partner employees.
- Provides visible, approachable, and objective leadership, enhancing working relationships among the staff and physicians. Manages staff hiring, disciplinary matters, orientation, training, and regular meetings.
• Administration:
- Directs and implements the practice’s mission and strategic plan, including directives from the Board of Directors, to achieve its strategic and financial goals.
- Minimize risk to the practice and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.
- Continually monitors operations, programs, and physical properties for effective use and provides Board of Directors timely reporting and analysis at Board meetings
• Financial:
- Ensures the financial viability of the clinic by overseeing expenses and income and implementing cost reduction strategies
- Manage accounts payable, payroll, and other financial requirements.
- Utilize data and analytics for process improvement and strategic development.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or business administration or equivalent in work experience.
• Experience: Five years of executive-level experience in healthcare administration
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge and a thorough understanding of the healthcare environment.
2. Specific knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, practice operations, human resource management, and public relations in health care.
3. Knowledge of strategic business concepts and financial drivers of a medical group.

1. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, objectivity, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve practice’s mission.
2. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, including conflict-resolution, with physicians, medical staff, managers, employees, policy-making bodies, third-party payers, patients, and the public.

4. Skill in increasing revenues, measuring, and improving performance and productivity, and developing people.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,00
