The Role
We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our Sales team and potential customers. Your technical expertise will empower our team to demonstrate our products’ capabilities and applications, address technical queries in the Sales process, and match customised solutions to meet our customers’ unique needs. Your contributions will be critical in driving sales success and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a deep scientific background, be skilled at communicating with others, and have a curious mindset to understand the needs of customers.
Responsibilities
- Product Expertise: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio, including features, benefits, and applications. Stay informed on industry trends and competitive products
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales team and Distributors to identify customer needs and provide technical expertise that enhances our sales propositions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations
- Solution Development: Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and challenges. Develop and propose approaches that leverage our product capabilities to meet their specific needs
- Training and Education: Train and educate customers on product technical aspects and application fit. Organise and conduct product demonstrations and on-boarding for our customers and Distributor partners
- Customer Interaction: Engage directly with customers during the sales process, offering technical guidance and support. Participate in tradeshows, workshops, and seminars to showcase our products
- Feedback and innovation: Gather customer feedback on product performance and features
About You
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or related field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred
- Strong technical background with a comprehensive understanding of cell assays and applications
- Extensive cell culture experience required, 3D cell culture experience preferred
- Proven experience in technical sales preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in an understandable manner
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required
- Willingness to travel to meet customers, attend conferences, and support sales efforts
