About the Role: As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network, compute, and storage infrastructures for both physical and cloud environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure, enabling our business to deliver high-quality services to our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Title: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Implementation:
- Design, deploy, and manage network, compute, and storage solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.

- Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture and documentation.
- Collaborate with other internal technology teams and third party vendors to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure services.
2. Operations and Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of infrastructure components.
- Perform routine maintenance, backups, updates, and patches to ensure infrastructure stability and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
3. Security and Compliance:
- Working closely with Information Security, implement and maintain security best practices across all infrastructure components.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Assist with regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
4. Automation and Optimization:
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management tasks.
- Identify opportunities to optimize performance and reduce costs across the infrastructure landscape.
5. Collaboration and Leadership:
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support project initiatives and business objectives.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or combination of experience.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on network, compute, and storage technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud. Strong preference for Azure experience.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining compute environments, including virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.
- Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to adapt style to a nontechnical audience
- Proactive and detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, and the ability to leverage a data-driven approach
Location: Hybrid onsite in Smyrna, GA
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,000 – $135,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
