Fiona Hutton & Associates (FHA) is looking for a highly driven, innovative professional to join our California-based strategic communications and public affairs agency as a Senior Account Executive. This role will be centered on addressing some of California’s most pressing and important issues, including health equity, the digital divide, drought, clean energy and much more.

COOL STUFF YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Implement communications programs for corporate, trade association, and public agency clients.
- Execute and oversee development of top-notch content – including press releases, fact sheets, website content and other press/media materials – to drive quality control.
- Proactively contribute creative new strategies, tactics and ideas to advance client objectives.
- Execute media relations, influencer engagement and digital campaigns.
- Effectively interface with clients and actively participate in client meetings and conference calls.
- Supervise junior staff; set achievable goals for direct reports, delegate opportunities that challenge staff to grow and provide constructive feedback.
- Serve as mentor and drive professional development of junior staff.
- Participate in new business and contribute to organic growth, collaborate on proposals and presentations.

DESIRED SKILLSETS:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in public affairs, public relations or politics. Prior experience working in a public relations/affairs agency preferable.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Demonstrated track record of working across creative, earned, owned, influencer and digital media platforms.
- Keen understanding and interest in evolving media trends and political/public affairs landscape.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; articulate and able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and external audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal and external client teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications or related experience.

This full-time salaried position will be located in the company’s Los Angeles office (hybrid model). Salary $75,000 -$90,000 depending on experience.
