The Director of Sales plays a vital role in executing the strategies defined by the Executive Management Team.
Responsibilities:
· Account Management: Develop and maintain business relationships with customers, both new and existing, in the home decor category.
· Market Research: Conduct research and competitive analysis, interpret industry trends, and communicate insights to internal teams.
· Product Development: Oversee the development of product lines within the larger assortment and cost structure. Review and approve seasonal business proposals for customers.
· Brand Strategy: Collaboratively devise brand positioning and strategic initiatives, including in-store placement and fixtures where applicable.
· Sales Analysis: Regularly review shipments, orders, sales, stock levels, merchandising, and markdowns with Account Executives. Guide strategies to maximize sales and minimize markdowns.
· Customer Engagement: Travel to customer locations to meet with leadership, ensure in-store execution, and attend trade shows as necessary.
· Planning and Replenishment: Manage planning and replenishment business.
· Relationship Management: Cultivate, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, including communication with internal partners.
· Team Leadership: Contribute positively to the team dynamic, train and coach junior team members, and monitor and evaluate individual and team performance.
Requirements:
· Skills: Superior organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask, detail-oriented, and strong analytical skills.
· Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
· Experience: 5-8 years of experience in wholesale sales, with experience in Home Fashion being a plus.
· Travel: Travel is required for this role.
