Position Summary
The Sales Engineer, under minimal supervision of the CEO, serves as a critical member of the Sales Team. Along with the CEO and VP of Sales, you will be responsible for achieving CDM’s quarterly and annual sales plans. You will also provide project management, status communication, and technical consultation for projects at CDM.
What will your day look like?
You will:
- own/support existing customer accounts and be responsible for finding and growing new customer accounts
- collaborate with the VP of Sales, Project Manager(s), Estimator, Design Manager, and Shop Foreman to establish project timelines, monitor project progress, create alternate plans when the unexpected happens, and respond to technical questions
- provide status updates and create progress reports for the customer (weekly)
- organize key meetings internally and with customers
- travel to meet with customers on-site at their location; when not traveling, you are expected to work on-site at CDM at least three days/week (preferably four)
- own project documentation in CDM’s job tracking systems and ensure that information in these systems remains current as project details change.

- You have 7+ years of experience in the plastic injection mold industry.
- You have proficient computer skills, with particular competency in Microsoft Office.
- You have the multi-tasking and organizational abilities and skills to simultaneously manage multiple aspects of one or more projects.
- You have interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and to successfully complete responsibilities in collaboration with the Customer, Sales, Design, and Manufacturing teams.
- You are competent in UG or a comparable CAD software (preferred, but not required).
