Our Challenge:
We are looking for a seasoned engineer with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) experience to join the Trade Distribution System (TDS) software development team to advance and enhance reliability practices, with a strong focus on testing, monitoring, and maintaining system performance.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of infrastructure
- Work closely with developers to ensure the system is designed and scaled according to SLO's
- Automate tasks and create tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of testing
- Define, document, and perform tests required to meet committed non-functional requirements
- Participate in capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning
- Ensure compliance with security policy and best practices
Requirements:
You are:
- 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated one or combination of following: work experience, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience in supporting enterprise level complex applications and platforms
- 5+ years of experience in building and debugging Java/C#, Python software artifacts
- 5+ years of experience working with automation and monitoring tools (Ansible, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk)
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise level complex applications and platforms in production
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix/MS operating systems
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with infrastructure scripting (Shell/Python)
- Knowledge of network protocols, IP networks, DNS, routing, and firewalls
- Experience with OAuth, Certificate Management, TCL/SSL and Kerberos
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB , storage systems: SAN, NAS)
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking
