TCI has an immediate need for a Mitel Senior Systems Engineer for a contract-to-hire role to cover the Louisville, Evansville and southern Indiana areas.
Position can be remote but must live in the area to cover onsite clients.
SUMMARY
The Senior Mitel Systems Engineer is to be the remote or on-site resource for service repair, maintenance, project designs and implementations, and proactive/strategic technical relationships for Mitel Voice Systems. This role will focus on the proactive processes that will ensure the highest level of system uptime while maximizing system performance. Additionally, one is responsible for building client relationships that allow for in-depth understanding of our clients’ business objectives and work to align their technology needs with those objectives.
A successful candidate will have exceptional technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. One must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers. The goal is to create value for clients that will help preserve the company’s reputation and business while responsible for owning and ensuring that an effective solution is provided to the client.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel 10% or greater to client sites for repair, troubleshooting, strategic reviews or project implementation related activities
- Resolve complex technical issues, including advanced research on issues and resolutions
- Ensure maximum possible service availability and performance for Mitel Clients, under support agreement.
- Manage and maintain the health and uptime of clients’ Mitel voice systems
- Research and Apply Best Practices within their area of expertise
- Provide Level III support for clients, MTAC and field support teams
- Perform assessments and make recommendations for optimizing the clients’ voice network.
- Design and implement new solutions into client environments.
- Provide accurate information on Mitel products or services (For sales and Level 1 & 2 engineers)
- Be part of on-call rotation schedule. Additional compensation of $50 per week is earned while on call, plus $75 per hour billed. Participation in the on-call rotation (currently on call approximately 1 week, every 14 weeks).
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing and supporting Mitel Product
- Detailed knowledge and experience with the following: MiVoice Business (MiVB, MiCollab, MGB & NuPoint , MiContact Center for MiVoice Business
- Solid demonstrated knowledge in the support of Mitel UCC products
PREFERRED (great to have) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field
- Product or Industry certification within the field of expertise with: Routing; Switching; Network Security; Virtualization; and/or MS Teams
