AWS System Administrator

AWS System Admin provides support & expertise to the infrastructure and tech arch delivery team which includes day-to-day support for one or more applications that are deployed to the Non-Prod and Production environment hosted on AWS GovCloud.
- Assist in the deployment, management, and monitoring of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, NACL, Security Groups, CloudTrail, etc.
- Help configure and optimize AWS resources to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
- Work with Security Groups and other security measures to protect and manage access to cloud resources.
- Work closely with senior engineers and other team members to implement best practices and contribute to project success.
- Develop, run tests on, implement, or maintain operating system and related software.
- Establish and implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software according to specifications and parameters.
- Troubleshoots and/or resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
- Schedules, performs, or monitors system backups or, when necessary, performs data recoveries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7-10 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS.
Other Job Specific Skills
- Intermediate proficiency in AWS Core Infrastructure and Linux Operations.
- Applies standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to non-technical employees.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
