JOB TITLE: Strategic Sales Manager (Hybrid Central NJ)

SUMMARY: The Strategic Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with industrial manufacturers and electric utility companies while identifying and executing growth opportunities. This role requires an understanding of customer business objectives and market trends, enabling the design and implementation of tailored sales strategies to drive business expansion. The position works closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Marketing to enhance sales performance and deliver customer-centric solutions that align with company goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new sales prospects while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to drive revenue growth.
- Maintain regular travel to customer sites to enhance partnerships, identify new opportunities, and deepen customer understanding (up to 40% travel)
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with overall company objectives, ensuring measurable progress toward sales goals and quotas.
- Lead negotiations on contract renewals and bids ensuring favorable terms and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling product presentations and propose tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitive landscape to adapt strategies and inform product offerings and pricing.
- Actively participate in industry conferences and trade shows to promote the company’s products and expand the network.
- Ensure accurate client records are maintained, tracking key milestones such as contract renewals, negotiations, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments to share market intelligence, customer feedback, and business insights, helping shape future product offerings and innovation.
- Seeks out opportunities for professional development, staying current on industry trends and sales strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of sales experience (required), preferably in industrial, chemical or utility sectors.
- Experience with B2B sales in the distribution and supply of gases and chemicals (preferred).
- Proven ability to develop and implement client-focused solutions that differentiate the company from competitors.
- Ability to analyze market dynamics and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro and familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
- Results-driven and self-motivated.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Domestic travel up to 40% of the time (required).
