Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Data Analyst with a strong background in Investment Banking and Capital Markets. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SQL, Data Mart and Data Warehouse (DWH) projects, BI/Reporting concepts, and familiarity with cloud technologies or NoSQL databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of complex datasets related to investment banking and capital markets, extracting meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, elicit requirements, and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions.
- Data Modeling: Design and develop data models for Data Mart and Data Warehouse projects, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of critical business data.
- SQL Expertise: Utilize strong SQL skills to write complex queries, optimize database performance, and manipulate large datasets for reporting and analysis purposes.
- BI/Reporting: Develop and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards to enable stakeholders to visualize and interpret key performance indicators and business trends.
- Data Governance: Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in compliance with industry regulations and best practices within the investment banking and capital markets domain.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, and business users to drive data-related initiatives and projects.
- Cloud Technologies and NoSQL: Leverage knowledge of cloud technologies and NoSQL databases to explore and implement modern data solutions that align with business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst in the investment banking and capital markets domain.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale databases and data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of Data Mart and Data Warehouse concepts, including ETL processes, data modeling, and schema design.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting concepts, including the use of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner.
