Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days Remote) – Chattanooga, TN, Knoxville, TN, Fort Mill, SC or Spokane, WA
Salary: $100K-$150k + 3-8% bonus
Description:
An engineering consultant client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to sit in either Knoxville, TN, Chattanooga, TN, Fort Mill, SC, or Spokane, WA. The team they would be joining serves Power Generation clients, so will be working on projects that can include hydropower plants, coal plants, nuclear plants, gas plants, etc. They will be responsible for doing project walk-downs to assess equipment/projects and assist in the creation of scope, budget, man-hours, cost, etc. Additionally, they will lead project equipment teams for the design and engineering of the new equipment for the plant. This design will include one-line diagrams, low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution, motor control design, etc. They will also utilize ETAP for power systems studies when necessary. Most of the work is for modifications/retrofits to existing power plants but may include new builds from time to time.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related degree
- PE or EIT with intention of obtaining their PE
- 7+ years of experience doing electrical design/engineering for either power plants or heavy industrial sites.
Nice to have:
- Project Management experience
- Experience doing design for hydropower plants or fossil fuel sites.
