Job Purpose
Support the company’s maintenance program by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies and OSHA regulations. This is a 3rd shift position.
Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment (e.g., wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives)
- Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment
- Perform building maintenance and repairs (e.g., air conditioning, lights, forklifts)
- Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed
- Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel
- Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Skilled in pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
- Well rounded electrical, mechanical and machine shop skills and experience
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical degree in a maintenance related field, MN Special Engineer Boiler License or higher, or refrigeration experience preferred
- $2,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days.
