Position Details:
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track and evaluate project progress, budgets and recommended changes.
- Research and resolve design and construction problems.
- Field Observation and inspection.
- Perform design, calculations and engineering analysis.
- Review and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor in Civil Engineering or related. 24 months experience as Engineer or related.
- Knowledge of geotechnical advanced concepts for soil, slope grading, retaining wall and foundation.
- Experience in performing geotechnical engineering analyses in bearing capacity, settlement, pile capacity, and design in accordance with IBC and AASHTO.
- Experience in performing geotechnical investigation including utility clearance, drilling inspection, and recording field log for Department of Transportation projects, and residential and commercial projects.
- Experience in geotechnical design software and plan drawing preparation including AutoCAD, RetainPro, gINT, LPile, GSTABL7, and SLOPE/W.
- Experience in geotechnical improvement and Stabilization methods for marine clay, Karst, and shallow rock for geology in DC Metro Area.
