HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Class A or B CDL Driver /Equipment Operator with Tanker Endorsement out of Mount Vernon, WA and surrounding areas (SIGN ON BONUS: $3,000) to join their safety conscious team! This team member is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. The position serves as a representative of HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors in creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers.
Must be able to drive/operate an 8 or 10-speed manual transmission truck. 3-5 years of experience driving roll offs, guzzlers, vac trucks.
Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) -

- Loads shipment onto liquid and dry vacuum trucks appropriately.
- Interacts with customer regarding job status, client requirements, and assures customer satisfaction.
- Operates equipment safely at all times.
- Maintains a current Commercial driver's license as required.
- Does not modify any vehicle or piece of equipment without written permission from the manufacturer and HPC management.
- Obeys all traffic laws and regulations when operating and driving company vehicle.
- May troubleshoot equipment and make minor repairs as long as they have the knowledge to complete the task safely.
- Wears personal protective equipment as required by HPC, DOT, OSHA, and customer regulations.
- Trained on the proper use of all PPE required to do the work safely.
- Immediately reports all accidents, near misses, and injuries involving employee or others while operating company vehicles/equipment to the Safety Manager over the area.
- Recommends changes and improvements to safety and services based on job experience & observations.
- Answers calls at night and weekends as necessary.
- Performs other duties when assigned.
- Pay Range: $26-30 per hour
- Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to Nomex coveralls, a back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask and escape pack and a hard hat.
- Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+ degrees Fahrenheit, 98% humidity and subzero weather conditions) relative to geographic location.
- Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs.
- Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
- Valid driver's license as well as other requirements of company's driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
- Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
- Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums.
- 3-5 years of experience driving roll offs, guzzlers, vac trucks.
- Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Class A / B, no restrictions, must be able to drive manual transmission.
