LAUNCH is a leading aviation staffing company that is seeking a Production Control Supervisor to join their repair station team in Wichita, Kansas. This person will have full responsibility for Production Control including supervising Production Control Coordinators to streamline processes, increase efficiency and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and PMO procedures. This role is an integral part of end-to-end processes to meet business plans, understand the operational demand capacity model, and proactively plan for operation success. The Supervisor will direct all activities related to Production Control including planning, auditing, customer interfacing on statements of work. This role requires strong skill sets in planning, PMO best practices, computer literacy, advanced multi-tasking and people management. LAUNCH continues to rapidly expand its client base, complexity of work and geographic footprint which could create a need for occasional travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily activities of production coordinators and manage KPI’s to deliver on safety, service, quality, TAT & budget
- Advance LAUNCH’s Production Control and PMO processes to accommodate projected growth
- Incorporate EmpowerMX planning tool as centralized compliance system for all activity to include, but not limited to…
- Data collection (labor data, project plans, production control, budget planning and control)
- Resource planning (manpower, tooling, equipment)
- Document compliance and control (distribution tracking, collection, auditing)
- Support project level accounting (budget, allocation, spend rate, cost control)
- Perform review of customer aircraft data such as task cards, drawings, AD’s, SB’s, EO’s, presentations.
- Assist & document work scope hours identification to aircraft data for purposes of providing cost to perform the work in the form of ROM & SOW’s
- Pre-plan work, project flow and establish manpower requirements to meet budget and schedule for all projects assigned including reconciling actuals to plan
- Ensuring all required task cards/work cards are satisfactorily staged, completed, signed, and fully compliant with all existing regulations and procedures
- Effectively interfacing with program/project management to revise project flow as required
- Host and manage Customer meetings utilizing Launch tools such as “Meeting Minutes” forms
- Assist with Proposal and Contracts Management
- Support new program start up and implementation
- Simultaneously manage multiple customers and ensuring adherence to each’s requirements
- Monitor Launch Performance by customer and report out to drive efficiencies and improvements
- Support QA & QC as needed for audits, CAR and Customer Initiatives to help report out concerns and improvements
- Assist as needed in on-the-job training for personnel that use and handle MRO/Launch software and customer systems.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Daily customer meetings and turn over reports for status updates

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree Preferred
- A&P Certificate Preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience working in a similar role at a 145 Repair Station, MRO or in the Aerospace Industry
