District Manager (Head of Engineering) - Water Supply / Irrigation District
Sequence has been exclusively retained and is currently searching for a District Engineer (Head of District Engineering activities) for the Glenn-Colusa Irrigation District.
This is currently one of the region's most high-profile positions of its type in the industry. An opportunity to find a long-term home with one of the wests oldest irrigation districts with rich history that is currently going through evolution.
The ideal individual would be an experienced and professional leader who can then serve as the hand of the General Manager and oversee all engineering activities of their staff as well as third-party contractors. This includes contribution to all engineering operations within the organization including, the planning, development, and construct of all infrastructure efforts. It also has indirect input into the management and direction of professional and technical staff in the area of professional engineering and related administrative activities and maintenance infrastructure systems.

The Glenn-Colusa Irrigation District is one of the largest rural districts in the state focused almost exclusively on agricultural customers. Beyond a diverse constituent base that includes numerous communities the district is also unique in that it now encompasses significant service area.
The District currently has a fully balanced budget, extensive CIP funding for infrastructure projects and a full staff working in a wide variety of capacities within its contracted operating company.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field (Professional Engineering licensure or ability to obtain in California a strong plus for consideration) with over 10+ years of industry and management experience.
Beyond partnering with the current General Manager and Board of Directors, this role is crucial to efficiently ensuring the operation and deliver water of water, and the achieving the District's mission of providing customers with safe, reliable, environmentally responsible water services,
The post is a key contributor and trusted advisor for all District activities and the individual holding it depended upon to ensure services are provided openly, efficiently and cost effectively.
