This cutting edge medical device company in Providence, RI is looking to bring on their first Senior Cloud Engineer to their Platform team. In this role you'll be instrumental in shifting the company from on-prem to GCP, building out backend code and APIs using Python/Flask and SQL. There is opportunity to informally lead as the team is further built out over the next several months. They are looking for fellow team players who identify as life long learners and collaborative team members. This role is onsite to start with the ability to go hybrid as you ramp up.
Must Have Skills
- Experience building out GCP environments using Terraform/IaC
- Experience setting up, configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters
- Experience building out backend code using Python and creating APIs using Flask
Nice to Have Skills
- Formal or Informal technical leadership of a team
- Experience working on a small team for a company that processes large amounts of data (think petabytes)
- Experience moving from on prem to GCP
