Job: Structural Design Engineer

Role Overview:
As our Structural Design Engineer, you'll focus on designing large-scale structures, incorporating multiple stories, and electrical/mechanical systems. This role is ideal for someone passionate about complex, multi-story products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct FMEA structural evaluations to determine load requirements.
- Implement a gated design process, maintaining a master project list for tracking and communication.
- Innovate and develop new structural designs that align with customer expectations and regulatory standards.
- Oversee prototype construction, ensuring alignment with design and cost specifications.
- Manage prototype field testing, observe progress, and propose improvements for production readiness.
- Liaise with manufacturing, supply, and sales departments effectively.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in structural engineering, preferably in Agricultural or Mechanical sectors.
- Certification(s): PE certification is desirable, or willingness to obtain it in the future.
- Functional Skills: Demonstrated expertise in structural design, particularly in machinery or equipment with height elements. Ability to balance project risk and cost for optimal profitability. Strong knowledge of structural analysis, steel design, and OSHA compliance.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or similar 3D design software; familiarity with 3D Structural Analysis Software.

Additional Details:
- Physical Requirement: Capable of climbing up to 150ft for troubleshooting.
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience.
- Reporting: Director of Engineering.
- Core Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday; averaging 45 hours per week.
- Direct Reports: None.
- Work Environment: Office-based with occasional site and manufacturing area visits.
- Travel: Up to 25%.
