Trillium Construction is seeking a Superintendent with the potential for Project Management, specializing in Federal Government Construction, for a client located in Bassett, Virginia. Our client is a general contractor specializing in complex industrial projects for the military and other Federal Government agencies across the country.
As a Project Manager/Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- Leading field operations and construction activities, providing leadership to the project staff, and making critical day-to-day decisions to ensure successful, safe, and timely project completion.
- Managing the quality control and safety teams to meet contractual quality requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ensuring work is performed and project milestones are achieved in line with the project schedule. This includes developing and managing the Four-Week Short Interval Schedule (SIS), communicating schedule requirements to subcontractors and suppliers, presenting the SIS at weekly meetings, and incorporating necessary changes.
- Conducting weekly meetings with subcontractors and the project owner.
- Developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate impacts on the SIS.
- Utilizing a 60-Day Lookahead to ensure key milestones and completion dates are met.
- Interacting with client representatives to ensure satisfaction and adherence to project goals.
- Managing subcontractors and suppliers to meet project objectives and quality standards.
- Documenting all project activities.
- Controlling project expenses within budget constraints.
- Developing and applying innovative approaches to reduce costs and expedite work.
- Handling monthly payment requests and project schedule updates.
- Overseeing project close-out.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant construction experience is required.
