Job Overview
As the Sales Market Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving new clients to the organization and growing our presence in the Healthcare space. Your primary focus will be to target the largest clients in this vertical, specifically ones that have a strong likelihood to utilize more than one of our energy and sustainability solutions. You will promote our suite of solutions to prospects and existing clients to build a stronger relationship with the clients assigned to you and ultimately deliver sales and revenue growth for the company. Your primary objective will be to identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, effectively communicate the benefits of Environ’s solutions, and drive the sales process from initial contact to closing deals. By leveraging your expertise and passion for environmental stewardship, you will contribute to accelerating the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
Education and Experience requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, marketing, environmental science, or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Sustainability Sales Experience in healthcare Industry required
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Proven track record of success in sales or business development roles to large healthcare facilities. Preferably within the energy, clean energy, renewable energy, or sustainability industry.
- Strong understanding of clean energy technologies, energy efficiency principles, and environmental sustainability concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse audiences, including clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other sales productivity tools.
- Commitment to environmental stewardship and passion for driving positive change through our energy solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Business Development:
- Identify and prospect potential clients within the healthcare vertical Market, including large institutions, and relevant associations related to your market.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals, leveraging market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline through marketing qualified leads (MQLs), sales qualified leads (SQLs), networking, referrals, association events and other proactive outreach efforts.
Solution Selling:
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with prospective clients to understand their energy consumption patterns, sustainability goals, budget, and financial objectives.
- Educate clients on the benefits of company Solutions, such as community solar or VPPA programs, energy-efficiency or engineering projects, Carbon tracking, Sustainability training, energy procurement, etc… emphasizing the environmental benefits, and long-term value we offer our clients.
- Customize proposals and presentations to align with clients' specific requirements, addressing concerns, and objections while highlighting the advantages of clean energy solutions.
Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, building trust and rapport through transparent communication, timely follow-ups, and exceptional customer service.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to project implementation and beyond.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including subject matter experts, engineers, and sales support, operations, customer service representatives, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of clean energy projects.
Market Insights and Feedback:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in the clean energy sector, sharing relevant insights and feedback with internal stakeholders to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Ensure all sales activities and opportunities are documented in our CRM. Provide regular reports and updates on market dynamics to sales management, contributing to data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Oversight
- Sell to hospitals (both public and private) to the C Suite or VP level within their organization.
- Nationwide sales - hunter role where you keep and get renewals with clients.
- Only healthcare market - assisted living/lavatories/rehab NOT retirement homes
- Someone who can ask 10 qualifying questions and set it up for Engineering support.
- Need to know some tech aspects, but not a subject matter expert. Just how it works in general to speak to it.
- Energy efficiency, Carbon Tracking, ESG, etc.
- Blend of inbound and outbound prospecting. Just hired a VP of marketing who is judged by qualified leads generated, so working on increasing that.

* Ideally Midwest, Texas, or Northeast
* 40-50% travel- Will travel to sites, do trade shows, etc.
PAY
* 90-110k base
* Commissions at target are 115-120k in addition.
